Polish Wedding Sweet-Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage, shredded
    4 Tbsp. lard
    1 qt. water
    2 tsp. flour
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Scald with boiling water; drain.
    In a saucepan, combine lard and flour into paste.
    Add water slowly until thin sauce is made.
    Add vinegar, sugar and pepper; pour over cabbage and cook until tender.
