Chocolate Town Special Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening/oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour two 9-inch large cake pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cream together sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla; sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add alternately with the buttermilk.
