Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9-inch pie crust
4 eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Beat eggs slightly.
Add salt, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla.
Beat slowly until well mixed.
Add scalding hot milk.
Stir well.
Pour into crust and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a silver knife inserted (1-inch from side) comes out clean.
The center may still look soft, but will set later.
Be careful not to bake too long.
