Soda Cracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    16 (2-inch) crackers, crushed in small pieces
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until forms stiff peaks. Add sugar gradually and beat well; add pecans and vanilla. Fold in crushed crackers. Pour into slightly buttered pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes. When the pie is cooled, top with Cool Whip and coconut.
