3 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo
1/2 c. water
3 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Put the salt, soda and butter in a small dish ready in dump in later. Boil sugar, Karo and water until thread spins (268\u00b0 is better) then add peanuts and stir continuously after peanuts are added. Cook until it turns a brownish gold (298\u00b0 is safer) on medium-high heat. Take from heat and add butter, salt and soda. Stir until well mixed. Pour into 4 foil-lined and buttered pie plates to cool. When cold, break into pieces and store in cookie cans!
