Strawberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 pt. strawberries
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. Crisco
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. water
    1 1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Puree enough strawberries in blender to make 1 cup.
    Put in saucepan and heat to boiling.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Cool.
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs until fluffy.
    Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon.
    Stir in strawberries and chopped nuts.
    Pour in 9 x 5 loaf pan sprayed with Pam.
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until center sticks clear.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Wrap in foil.
    Good spread with strawberry cream cheese.
