Rock Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    powdered sugar
    3 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Karo Light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. flavoring oil & food coloring
Preparation
    Sprinkle 18x24 inch piece of foil with powdered sugar. Mix next three ingredients in pan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil until temperature reaches 310\u00b0 or until drops of syrup form hard & brittle threads in cold water.
    Remove from heat. Stir in flavor and color. Pour onto foil.
    Cool. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
