Famous Anchor Bar Buffalo Chicken Wings - cooking recipe

24 chicken wings (about 4 lb.)
salt (if desired)
freshly ground pepper
4 c. peanut, vegetable or corn oil
4 Tbsp. butter
2 to 4 Tbsp. Frank's Louisiana hot sauce
1 Tbsp. vinegar
2 1/2 c. Bleu cheese dressing
celery sticks
Preparation

Cut wings at 2 joints; discard tips.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in large frying pan.
Add half wings and cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crisp.
Remove; drain well.
Repeat with remaining wings.
Melt butter in saucepan and add hot sauce and vinegar, amount of hot sauce depends on the degree of hotness desired.
Pour butter mixture over wings, coating evenly.
Serve with Bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.
