Savory Sausage Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pork sausage
    1 c. finely chopped green pepper
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped celery
    2 pkg. (1 3/4 oz.) chicken noodle soup mix
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. rice, uncooked
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Brown sausage in large skillet; pour off excess fat.
    Add green pepper, onion and celery; saute.
    Combine soup mix and boiling water in large saucepan; stir in rice.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Add sausage mixture, salt and almonds; stir well.
    Pour into greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
