Black Bean Rice Soup(Fast - Easy - Low Calorie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 C. chopped onion
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 1/2 C. water
    1 can (about 14 oz.) beef broth
    1 can (15 oz.) black beans or pinto beans, rinsed & drained
    3/4 C. instant Uncle Ben's brown rice
    1/3 C. medium picante sauce or salsa
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
Preparation
    Cook onion and garlic in oil in saucepan until onion is tender.
    Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer until rice is tender, about 5 minutes. Makes 7 main dish servings.
