Chicken Paprikash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped
    1/4 c. melted chicken fat
    1 roasting chicken, cut into serving pieces
    2 Tbsp. sweet paprika
    salt
    water
    1 medium green pepper, sliced
    1 medium tomato, peeled and sliced
    1 tsp. tomato paste (4 servings)
Preparation
    Saute the onions in the chicken fat until golden brown.
    Add the chicken, paprika and 1 tablespoon of salt.
    Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    During the simmering, stir twice and add a little water if needed.
    Add the green pepper, tomato, tomato paste and 1 cup water.
    Cover the skillet and cook over low heat for about 50 minutes, stirring and adding a little water as needed to prevent sticking.
    Add additional salt to taste.
    Serve with rice, noodles or dumplings.
