Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 medium, well ripened bananas
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Mix flour, soda and salt.
    Set aside.
    Mash bananas. Add lemon juice and buttermilk. Cream the shortening.
    Add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with banana mixture.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake 28 to 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Makes 2 large loaves.
