Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. corn meal
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. flour
    chopped onion (optional)
    2/3 c. cooking oil
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. cream-style corn
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. grated Cheddar
    3 finely chopped jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients twice; add everything but cheese.
    Pour half of batter into greased pan or skillet; sprinkle half cheese on top.
    Add remaining batter and top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
