Bishop'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar and salt in bowl; mix well.
    Cut in butter until crumbly.
    Reserve 3/4 cup for topping.
    Add baking powder, soda and cinnamon to remaining mixture.
    Stir in egg and milk; mix well.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9-inch dish. Sprinkle with topping.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes; serve warm. Yields 9 servings.
