Scalloped Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large onions
    1/2 c. butter (1/4 and 1/4 divided)
    1 1/2 c. butter flavored crackers
    8 oz. Cheddar cheese
    3 large eggs, beaten
    1 c. milk
    salt
Preparation
    Brown onions after slicing in 1/4 cup butter.
    In a 9 x 13-inch casserole, press crackers to make crust.
    Place onions on top; sprinkle cheese on top.
    Pour milk and eggs over top.
    Also the other 1/4 cup butter.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
