Strawberry Glaze Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. fresh strawberries
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    red food coloring
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Wash and hull berries.
    Crush 1 cup and cook with water for 2 minutes; sieve.
    Blend sugar and cornstarch.
    Stir in berry juice. Cook and stir over medium heat until glaze is thick and clear. Stir in food coloring.
    Spread a small amount of glaze on bottom of shell.
    Arrange half of berries in pastry shell.
    Pour glaze over berries.
    Repeat.
    Chill 3 hours.
    Garnish with whipped cream.
