Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 medium peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. cooked rice
2 1/2 to 3 c. tomato sauce
Preparation

Prepare peppers for stuffing. Brown ground beef with onion in heavy skillet.
Season with garlic, salt and pepper while frying. Drain well. Mix in rice.
Loosely stuff each pepper with meat and rice mixture.
Stand upright in deep saucepan so they touch and support each other. Pour sauce so it surrounds peppers, but does not cover them.
Cover and simmer slowly about 1 hour or until tender.
Use sauce to pour over peppers when served.
