Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream the shortening, sugars and vanilla.
Add beaten eggs and beat thoroughly.
Stir in peanut butter.
Sift together the dry ingredients.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Press with back of floured fork to make a crisscross design.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Yields about 6 dozen.
