Hamburger Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped cabbage (2 or 3 firm, white)
    2 large bell peppers (optional)
    3 large onions, chopped
    1 c. white vinegar
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 qt. mustard
Preparation
    Chop cabbage, onions and peppers and place in pan.
    Mix vinegar, sugar, salt
    and
    pepper
    in saucepan and let come to boil.
    Pour hot
    liquid
    over
    cabbage mixture and let come to boil.
    Add mustard and
    place
    in
    hot jars and seal.
    Makes 5 pints.
