Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh or frozen shrimp
6 to 8 oz. fresh or frozen crab meat
1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 large onions, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 c. chicken broth
2 c. okra
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 bay leaves
Preparation

In large Dutch oven, stir flour and oil until smooth.
Cook over medium-high heat, 5 minutes, stir constantly.
Lower to medium, stir constantly, 10 minutes, until red-brown roux forms. Add onions, green pepper and garlic.
Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
Stir in chicken broth, okra, salt, red and black pepper and bay leaves.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and cover 30 minutes.
Add shrimp and crab meat. Simmer 5 minutes.
Remove bay leaves.
Season to taste.
Serve over rice.
