Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. condensed milk
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, salt and milk in large heavy kettle. Boil over low heat until a firm ball forms (242\u00b0 to 248\u00b0) when tested in water.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter, vanilla and peanut butter.
    Let set for 10 minutes (or until it reaches 110\u00b0). Beat until shine leaves candy.
    Add condensed milk only if it hardens too much before removing from pan.
    Place on large buttered cookie sheet.
    Cut with buttered knife before it becomes firm.
    Yields 60 pieces.
