Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 yeast cake
    5 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    rounded tsp. salt
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Combine milk and shortening in saucepan over medium to low heat until melted.
    Pour into large bowl; cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and stir into milk mixture.
    Add sugar and salt; stir until dissolved.
    Add sifted flour, beating until smooth and until dough pulls away from spoon. Cover with plate and let rise overnight in refrigerator.
