Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs (one at a time)
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. flour
1 box dates, cut in small pieces
1 lb. orange slice candy, cut fine
1 can Angel Flake coconut
2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add alternately with flour.
Roll nuts, candy and dates in flour.
Add to mixture, then add coconut.
Cook in tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
