Pig Feet With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sauerkraut, rinsed, drained and pressed dry in a colander
    2 onions, chopped
    1 bay leaf, broken
    3 whole cloves
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    6 pig feet
    1 chicken bouillon cube, dissolved in 1 c. hot water
Preparation
    In heavy kettle, arrange bed of sauerkraut.
    Sprinkle onions and seasonings.
    Place pig feet on sauerkraut bed and add bouillon.
    Bring liquid to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, tightly covered, for 2 1/2 hours or until the pig feet are tender enough for meat to fall off bones.
