Baked Chicken With Almonds - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 broiler-fryer (2 3/4 lb.)
all-purpose flour
1/2 c. butter, divided
2 c. chicken stock or canned chicken broth
1/2 c. blanched almonds, sliced
1/4 c. dry sherry
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0.
Cut the broiler-fryer into 4 portions; dredge with flour and place on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Brush with 1/4 cup of melted butter and bake at 400\u00b0 until browned, 25 to 35 minutes.
When the chicken is brown, remove the rack.
Place the chicken in the bottom of the pan and add the chicken stock to a depth of 1/2-inch.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
