Date Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 yolks, beaten (save whites for top)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 c. dates, sliced thin in small pieces
Preparation

Mix first six ingredients and cook together.
Add dates after filling is cooked.
Put in a cooked pie shell.
Make a meringue from the 2 whites and 3 tablespoons sugar.
Place on top.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
