Sweetheart Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
    1 (9-inch) chocolate flavored crumb pie shell
    prepared whipped topping
    chocolate flavored sprinkles or grated chocolate
Preparation
    Measure the water into 4-cup liquid measure.
    Stir in gelatin. Microwave on High for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
    Add ice cream to hot mixture 1 spoonful at a time, stirring until cream is melted. Chill for 30 minutes, stirring twice (mixture should mound when dropped from spoon).
    Pour chilled ice cream mixture into pie shell; chill about 4 hours or until ice cream mixture does not jiggle if tilted slightly.
    Decorate with chocolate sprinkles or grated chocolate.
    Garnish with whipped topping before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
