Biscuits (Self-Rising) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour (lightly spooned into cup)
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

In large bowl, cut shortening into flour; add milk.
Stir with fork to form soft dough.
One to three tablespoons additional milk may be added to achieve desired consistency.
Turn onto floured surface; gently knead.
Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with 2-inch floured cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 425\u00b0 to 450\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes.
Makes 10 to 12 biscuits.
