Salisbury Bourgnone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 slices bacon
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. Burgundy or other dry wine (optional)
    garlic
    1/4 tsp. marjoram leaves, crushed
    1 can mushrooms, slices and pieces
Preparation
    Mix 1/3 cup soup, beef, crumbs, eggs and salt.
    Shape into 6 oval patties.
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Remove and set aside. Brown patties in bacon drippings.
    Mix together remaining ingredients.
    Pour over patties.
    Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Serve over noodles.
    Garnish with bacon.
