Mud Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 measuring Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1/2 c. butter, softened
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
    Set aside.
    In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and vanilla; beat until creamy.
    Add egg; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well.
    Stir in 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips and the nuts.
    Spread into foil lined 9-inch square baking pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes.
    Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining chips on top.
    Allow to stand until chips become shiny. Spread with spatula.
    Let cool.
    Chill 5 to 10 minutes to set chocolate.
    Cut into bars.
