Stuffed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium large onions
    1/2 c. chopped ham
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    fine dry bread crumbs
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Remove a slice from the top of each onion and parboil the onions until almost tender.
    Drain and remove the centers, leaving six little cups.
    Chop the onion that was scooped out and combine it with ham and soft bread crumbs.
    Add seasonings and fat, then refill the onion cups.
    Place them in a baking dish.
    Cover with fine bread crumbs.
    Add the milk and bake at 400\u00b0 to 450\u00b0 until tender.
