Soft Molasses Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tsp. melted shortening
1 egg
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Stir to a stiff batter with flour (1 1/2 to 2 cups) enough to make a stiff batter.
Then pour over 1 cup of boiling water in which 1 teaspoon soda has been dissolved.
Either loaf or layer.
