Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick oleo
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. white sugar
5 egg whites/5 egg yolks
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 can small coconut (3 1/2 oz.)
Preparation

Beat oleo and shortening in mixer.
Add sugar and beat well. Add egg yolks, one at a time.
Sift flour and soda together; add alternating with buttermilk.
Add vanilla.
Fold in coconut and pecans, then add beaten egg whites.
Pour into 3 (8 or 9-inch) tins and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
