Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. milk (I use 1 c. evaporated milk and 1 1/2 c. whole milk)
3 egg yolks, beaten
5 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

Mix milk, egg yolks and flour together thoroughly.
Melt the butter and brown sugar in a heavy iron skillet.
Let sugar brown a little.
Add the milk mixture and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens.
Let cool; pour in a baked pie crust.
Top with meringue.
