Christmas Lizzies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. soda
    3 Tbsp. buttermilk
    cheese glass cooking wine
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    6 c. pecans
    3 c. white raisins
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 lb. candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs; mix.
    Put 1 cup of sifted flour over nuts and raisins.
    Sift 2 cups of flour and spices together.
    Add soda, milk and cooking wine (or grape juice) to sugar mixture.
    Add flour and spices, then add candied fruit.
    Add nuts and raisins; mix well.
    Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes (drop by teaspoonful).
    Mixture doesn't spread, so can be baked close together.
    Makes 10 dozen.
