Cheddar Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
4 mushrooms, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 c. reserved \"potato water\"
8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, cubed
Preparation

Cook potatoes in water until tender.
Reserve 1 cup water. Drain potatoes.
In large saucepan fry bacon, drain on paper towel.
To drippings add celery, onion, mushrooms, salt and pepper; saute until tender.
In saucepan combine potatoes, \"potato water,\" crumbled bacon, saute mixture and milk.
Heat.
Take flour and add to a small amount of milk to form paste.
Add to pan. Heat to boiling.
In individual bowls place cheese; cover with soup.
Serve.
