Sausage Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    6 c. flour
    3 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    sausage
Preparation
    Combine warm water, yeast and sugar.
    Cover and set aside. Combine flour and salt and cut in shortening.
    Add yeast mixture. Knead about 5 minutes.
    Let rise about 2 hours or until double in size.
    Punch down and divide into thirds.
    Roll each piece out until 1/4 inch thick.
    You can refrigerate extra dough.
    Cook 1 pound sausage or ham sausage per loaf.
    Drain well.
    Cover dough with sausage and cheese if desired.
    Roll up into loaf and wet edges to seal.
    This is important.
    Let rise again.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    This freezes well.
