Chicken Adobo (Merlyn'S Style)(Philippine Cuisine) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 to 3 cloves minced garlic
    1 large chopped onion
    1 c. soy sauce
    1 c. oyster flavored sauce
    1 c. vinegar
    peppercorns
    bay leaves
    2 to 3 lb. cut up chicken parts
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onion in cooking oil; brown chicken parts. Add all other ingredients.
    Cook until done or until juice reduced into sauce-like consistency, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with steamed rice.
