Cheddar Cheese Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg, well beaten
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese
    3 1/2 c. flour
    melted butter
    1/3 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Place hot water in a large bowl. Add sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast and sugar over 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Stir.
    Cover and let stand until foaming and doubled in volume. Add to cooled water and sugar mixture.
    Add egg, 3/4 cup cheese and enough flour to make a firm dough.
    Toss onto a lightly floured board.
    Knead lightly until smooth and easy to handle. Form into balls.
    Arrange on a buttered cookie sheet.
    Cover and let rise until tripled in size. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with grated cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted.
