Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. butter, soft
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. sweet milk
    enough plain flour to make a stiff dough
Preparation
    Cream
    butter,\tsugar,\tbaking\tpowder,
    salt,\teggs and vanilla
    together
    in
    mixing
    bowl.
    Add
    a
    little milk and a little
    flour
    alternately until all milk is used; then work in enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    Chill.
    Then roll out thin and cut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 8 minutes until light brown.
