Ann'S Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    8 Tbsp. (1 stick) butter
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Cut butter into first five ingredients until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Mix in raisins.
    Add milk and egg and stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Knead lightly.
