Ingredients

1 lb. coffee, tied in a bag
3 gal. boiling water
2 lb. sugar
1 qt. milk
Preparation

Drop the bag of coffee into the boiling water. Reduce heat and let stand without boiling about 15 minutes, stirring bag through the water with a wooden spoon now and then.
Remove the coffee bag when the liquid is strong enough.
Stir in sugar until dissolved. Add milk and keep hot until ready to serve.
Makes 3 1/2 gallons.
