Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    3/4 c. onion
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed, if desired
    3/4 c. water
    6 slices bacon
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in skin until tender, peel and slice thinly into bowl.
    Fry bacon until crisp, remove bacon from pan and cook in the fat until tender the onion.
    Then mix in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
    Stir in gradually water and vinegar. Cook, stirring, until mixture boils.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Add the crisp bacon, broken into pieces.
    Cover and let stand until ready to serve.
    Keep hot or heat over hot water.
