Lizard Tails - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 large cucumbers
    7 c. sugar
    7 c. water
    7 c. vinegar
    7 tsp. canning salt
    dill
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers lengthwise.
    Pack in clean jars 1/2 teaspoon per pint, 1 teaspoon per quart jar.
    Combine remaining ingredients; heat to boil.
    Let cool to lukewarm.
    Pack cucumbers in jars with dill.
    Pour mix ingredients over cukes.
    Put in cold water; add water to cover jars.
    Just bring to boil.
    Remove jars immediately.
    They will seal.
