Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating until light and fluffy after each addition.
Add mashed bananas; add lemon juice.
Beat into creamed mixture. Combine dry ingredients.
Mix quickly into banana mixture.
Add nuts.
Bake in greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 1/4 hours.
