Ice Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers
    1/3 c. salt
    5 c. sugar
    1/4 c. mixed pickling spices (tied in cloth)
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers and salt in ice water for 3 hours.
    Drain well. Bring sugar, pickling spices and vinegar to a boil.
    Add cucumbers to vinegar mixture and bring to a boil.
    Place in jars and seal.
