Ingredients

2 eggs
2 1/2 c. buttermilk
3/8 c. corn meal
3/8 c. wheat germ
1 3/4 c. flour
4 Tbsp. liquid shortening
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat the eggs, then add the buttermilk and follow with the remaining ingredients, blending until smooth.
Add water if batter needs thinning.
Pour on hot griddle.
