German Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 small cucumbers
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, sliced into thin rings
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. fresh chopped chives
    1/2 tsp. dried dill seed
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    pinch of sugar
Preparation
    Line bowl with lettuce leaves covered with a layer of thinly sliced tomatoes.
    Peel cucumbers and slice paper thin.
    Add salt. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours.
    Rinse, dress and press out excess liquid.
    Mix with onion.
    Mix other ingredients and add just before serving.
    Arrange in the tomato-lettuce lined bowl.
