Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. canned tomato juice
    1 qt. cooked fresh tomatoes
    salt
    3/4 qt. milk (3 c.)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo (optional)
Preparation
    Heat tomatoes and add baking soda (will fizz).
    Add milk and sugar.
    Stir while heating.
    A tablespoon of butter or margarine may be added.
    Serve with crackers.
