Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. grated apples
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and apples.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix with sugar mixture.
Add pecans.
Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
Pour into greased 10 x 6 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Mix sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over top.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Makes 1 loaf.
